End of an Era - Khlebnikov Retiring next year!

One of the world's most legendary polar expedition vessel, Kapitan Khlebnikov, will end her career as an adventure ship in March 2012, returning to duty escorting ships sailing the Northeast Passage

Khlebnikov's final voyage will be from December 6, 2011 to January 5, 2012. During that expedition we will salute the 100th anniversary of the Australasia Antarctic Expedition while exploring Antarctica's Far East. Captain Petr Golikov, the only master mariner to have circumnavigated Antarctica in an expedition vessel - not once, but twice, will be our special guest. Many Polar Circle members will remember Captain Petr fondly for his penchant for adventure!
