I began my love of travel 28 years ago as a World Wide travel agent. I have been fortunate enough to see many different and exciting places. I love learning about the local people, their cultures, the history and all the destinations have to offer.

I joined Polar Cruises in 2017 and I am so excited to learn about the Arctic and Antarctica in depth.

In my free time I love camping, walking my dogs, and kayaking for the tranquility and scenery Central Oregon rivers and lakes have to offer.

My first trip to the Arctic was in June 2017 to Spitsbergen.  It was amazing!  The Glaciers, the wildlife and the knowledge of the expedition team made for an unforgettable journey.

The most exciting part of my trip was “following” a polar bear on the ice for over 3 hours.  We watched her hunt, dive into the water and roll on her back on the ice.  I was in awe over this elusive creature.

Cruising the sea ice and listening to the ship break through are sounds I will never forget.  Taking in the glaciers calving and the seeing the clear blue icebergs, breathtaking.

Since it is the Land of the Midnight Sun, we could take advantage of the daylight and be zodiac cruising or on long hikes throughout the day.

Hiking on land that offers no civilization, only wildlife and fauna is surreal.   To realize the history of this land being discovered and how fortunate we are to visit a place like this. I can’t wait for my next trip.
